Rhetorical Analysis Video

  1. Very interesting Rhetorical Analysis, Chris. I see we both went with a video format to do our presentations, thought they came out vastly different.

The professional tone works for your intended audience, both Writing Centers in the Prezi and the Computers and Composition classroom for the Rhetorical Analysis, but I thought the music could have been more engaging. The repetitiveness got on my nerves after a while, and distracted me from your presentation. What were your stylistic choices behind this background music as opposed to a music piece more similar like what you did for the Prezi?

The first time around, I hadn't noticed that your reddit pages were tagged the same as the words on your worldle and hadn't seen any other connection between your two platforms other than both having to deal with Writing Centers. Was it difficult to make the reddit resemble the Prezi enough to be considered a remediation? How did you overcome that kind of direct disconnect between the two media?

  2. Ah, that's exactly what I wasn't going for with the music. I had hoped it would sort of disappear into the background precisely because it was so repetitive. In fact, I spent some amount of time looping it so there would be no seams. Oh well.

I wonder if the remediation did overcome the disconnect between the two media at all. In fact, I chose to re-mediate on reddit mostly to fix the problems with the Prezi. For example, the reddit could invite audience participation more and be more non-linear. I felt it was worth going in a drastically different direction just to solve the problems in the first project.
